Dear students,

Welcome to the Large-Scale Systems Engineering course!
We will start both lectures and laboratories next week (September 8 -12).
Find below some useful information about the course.


Theoretical classes

The theoretical classes will happen synchronously at both Alameda and Tagus using the video-conference system available on campus.I will be physically at Alameda with video-conference to the Tagus (may be adjusted in the future). 
A department clerk will  typically set up the video-conference system at the remote campus, but if you arrive early you can also set it up.There are instructions on site to turn-on the video-conference system but essentially it boils down to:
- turn on the projector
- turn on the computer
- on the desktop there is a link called "ESLE" that opens the Zoom session.

Laboratory classes
We will use groups of exactly three students. Groups will collaborate for:
- lab assignments
- project
- paper presentation

The group registration will be open next week from Tuesday, Sep. 2 at 12:00 until Friday, Sep. 12 at 19:00.

Discord Server

We will have a Discord server that will be used to support the course throughout the quarter, in particular the project.

There will be a private text and voice channel for each group (check the #check-in channel for further details) and channels for lecture and project-related doubts.
