Métodos de Avaliação

The knowledge assessment consists of two components:

  a) Assessment of so-called "theoretical" knowledge. This assessment consists of:

    (a1) Written assessment. Each student can choose one of two modalities, (a11) or (a12):

      (a11) Two tests, which together cover the whole subject matter. The first test will be on 12th April (mark T1) and the second test on the 3rd of June (mark T2). Students who wish to do so may take a "recap" of the first test on 26th April. Students who have obtained an average mark ((T1+T2)/2) of not less than 9.5 values in the tests will be considered admitted to the oral examination.

      (a12) Written examination on the whole subject (mark E). Students will be admitted to the oral exam if they have obtained a mark of not less than 9.5 values.

    (a2) Students admitted to the oral examination may or may not be exempted from this examination by a decision of the responsible.

  (b) Assessment of the laboratory work. This assignment will be carried out in groups of up to three students. The classification (mark L) will be assigned after discussion of the respective report. Students admitted to the discussion of the project report may or may not be exempted from this examination by a decision of the responsible.

The final mark N in the course will be

N = max((0.425*M1+0.075*L+0.5*M2), (0.925*E+0.075*L)).

Students with final mark N not less than 9.5 values will be approved in the course.
