Welcome

24 janeiro 2025, 11:44 Luis Caldas de Oliveira

Welcome to the 2024-25 edition of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology Transfer (EITT) course.

Initial Statement

This course is not about entrepreneurship theory or examining business cases and successful entrepreneurs. Instead, it focuses on the next generation of entrepreneurs: the students. The goal is to enable students to act as entrepreneurs and experience the challenges of identifying and executing a new business opportunity based on technology. Students will utilize the Business Model Canvas (BMC) to design their business models, use agile development in their projects, apply the customer development methodology to validate their hypotheses, and employ artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance efficiency.

Teamwork

Students will participate in collaborative teamwork, forming teams of 5 or 6, to develop a sustainable business model for a technology selected by them, aimed at addressing a real-world problem. Learning to work effectively in teams is important, as it reflects the collaborative nature of the modern workplace and encourages diverse perspectives, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Through teamwork, students will improve their communication and interpersonal abilities, learn to manage group dynamics and utilize each member's strengths to achieve common goals.

To achieve these objectives all team members must be enrolled in the same shift and attend the same classes.
