Our last seminar session is scheduled for April 7, 14:00-16:30, in room Q4.2.


The tentative chairpersons are Henrique Araujo and August Lavik.

Class tomorrow

Our class tomorrow will take place in room V0.02 (13:00-15:00).

It will be for tutoring and solving exercises.

LAB REPORTS

The Reports should be about 5-8 pages.
The structure should be:
1. Abstract (one paragraph summarizing the experiment and the results/conclusions).
2. Introduction and Objectives
3. Experimental Procedure (with the equipment used, the circuits and the parameters tested).
4. Results, with both the raw data and the treated data (mostly in graphs, not tables). 
5. Discussion of the limitations and the uncertainty in the results, how they compare with the theory, could it be improved...
6: Conclusions and final remarks.

The report should be submitted online, as a PDF file. In parallel, and Excel file with the raw data and the treated data should be submitted as well. 

MONOGRAPHS

The Monographs length should be around 15-20 pages, including figures, tables and References.


The structure should be:

1. Abstract

2. Introduction (justifying the interest of the topic)

3. Fundamentals /historic perpective.

4. Applications and trends

5. Conclusions and final remarks.

Note that: 
- Any statement that is not common knowledge must be assigned to a reference.
- References must be listed t the end and always referred in the text, with a number between square brackets or as a subscript.
- All the figures and Tables should be mentioned in the text.
- Captions should be introduced below the image, while Table titles come as headings.
- References must include: name of the author(s), title, name of the journal, volume and page number, year of publication. For references from the internet: date of assessment (websites are altered frequently). For books: Authos(s), book title, year of publication and publisher.
There are different styles of organization of the references but the style must be consistent along the list of references.
