1. Mobilidade urbana (5 val)

 

1.1 Desenhe o perfil transversal de um arruamento que se pretende projectar e que irá desempenhar as funções de radial de acesso a uma cidade de média dimensão (50.000 habitantes)

Procure dar uma particular atenção à largura da faixa de rodagem (zonas de circulação, zonas de estacionamento), existência de eventuais passeios, de ciclovias, de postes de iluminação pública, de locais com árvores e arbustos, etc. Indique as dimensões e inclinações que utilizar e justifique as suas opções (2,5 val).

 

1.2 Com base nos dados que recolheu no seu relatório sobre Mobilidade, atribua ou comente o nível de serviço que esse arruamento deveria ter, referindo as condicionantes que teria de ter em consideração para calcular ou estimar o nível de serviço (velocidade de circulação, existência de semáforos, largura da via, etc, e variabilidade desses factores) e a fiabilidade do seu resultado (2,5 val).

 

 

2. Acessibilidade (5 val)

 

2.1 Comente a utilidade de se fazerem estudos de isócronas (pedonais, de autocarros, de outros modos de transporte) para o planeamento integrado do transporte público de uma cidade (2,5 val).

 

2.2 Que condicionantes entende deverem ser consideradas para estudar uma nova linha de autocarros em meio urbano (percursos a considerar, tempos de percursos, locais das paragens, etc) (2,5 val).

 

3. Micromobilidade urbana (5 val)

1. Urban Mobility (5 val)

 

1.1 2. Make a schematic drawing (cross-section) of a new street which is foreseen in the planning of a town, and that must fulfill the requirements needed for a radial axis at a town of medium dimension (50.000 inhabitants).

Try to draw carefully the width of the lanes (carriage lanes, parking lanes) eventual existence of sidewalks, of bicycle lanes, of public lighting lamps, of trees or bushes, etc. Present the dimensions and inclinations of the several elements of that street (2,5 val).

 

1.2 Using the data that you have collected in your report on mobility, comment the level of service that such street should have, mentioning which are the factors that would affect the evaluation of the level of service (speed, green lights, width of the lanes, etc; and variability of theses factors) and the accuracy of the obtained results (2,5 val).

 

 

2. Acessibility (5 val)

 

2.1 Comment the reason why isochrones lines drawings (for pedestrians, for buses, for other modes of transportation) are used whenever studying the integrated planning of public transportation inside a town (2,5 val).

 

2.2 Which factors do you suppose should be considered when you are studying a new bus line in urban areas (paths to be considered, duration between bus stops, location of bus stops, etc)

 

 

3. Urban micromobility (5 val)

 

a)                  How can you define it ?

b)                 What transportation modes does it involve?

c)                  What is its role in the Urban Mobility System?

 

 

4. ‘Zone 30’ (5 val)

 

a)                  Explain the concept of ‘Zone_30’

b)                 Where it should be mainly applied and why?

Level-of-Service(LOS) - It is used to assess the quality of traffic service of a facility (or lane) for a given flow rate. parameters to be considerd include geometrical and operational characteristics, speed and traffic volume. Typical measure of effectiveness include speed, travel-time, density, delay etc.6 levels of LOS to be considered defined by letters :A (the best), B, C, D, E, and F (the worst, the poorest quality)
A service volume (or service flow rate) is the maximum number of vehicles which can be accommodated by a given facility (or lane)
