Reallocation of Lab Sessions on May 23 and June 13

Dear students,

Due to the upcoming holidays on May 23 (Dia do Técnico) and June 13 (municipal holiday in Lisbon), the lab sessions scheduled for those days will be rescheduled to the preceding Thursdays, as follows:

  • The May 23 lab will be held on Wednesday, May 22

  • The June 13 lab will be held on Wednesday, June 12

Both rescheduled sessions will take place at the usual time (15h–18h) and in the same room (LSDC1).

Lab kits and work submission deadlines

Dear ECPD students,

please carefully read the laboratory guide, available in the section "Lab" of the course webpage.

Each group may collect a single TCLab kit, a lab kit, at office 5.18 on the 5th floor, from April 28th. The same Kit shall be returned until 16th of June. The responsible person for managing the kits distribution is Mr. Manuel Ribeiro (mribeiro@tecnico.ulisboa.pt, phone number 218418189). His availability is 9h30-12h and 14h-16h30, during weekdays.

Each group must submit a single ZIP file via Fenix, containing the PDF report and the source code files, in accordance with the instructions provided in the laboratory guide. Submission deadlines vary by shift:
  • ECPD236L03 - 11th of June 23:59
  • ECPD236L04 - 13th of June 23:59
  • ECPD236L02 - 14th of June 23:59
A penalty of 2 points will be applied if trying to submit up to 1 hour after the deadline. No submissions will be accepted beyond this 1-hour.


ECPD 2024/2025 laboratory registration instructions

Welcome to the course Distributed Predictive Control and Estimation (ECPD) 2024/2025,
In this course, in addition to lectures, there are also laboratory classes. Please take notice of the detailed schedule, provided in the section "Lab" of the course webpage.

The laboratory consists of one session only for registration purpose plus six sessions for work development and questions clarification. The laboratory work is carried out in groups of 4 students. The participation in laboratory sessions is not mandatory.

There are 3 different shifts: ECPD236L03, ECPD236L04 and ECPD236L02 . Each shift accommodates up to 7 groups. The registration for laboratory classes will be made in person at the laboratory room – LSDC1 (North Tower, Floor 5) with the presence of, at least, one member per group in the respective shift. The dates of registration are: 28th and 30th of April and 2nd of May for the respective shifts. Once again, please notice of the detailed schedule. In addition, note that:

  • Students are responsible for forming the laboratory groups prior to the registration;
  • Students are strictly forbidden from forming groups with elements that have not agreed to be part of the group;
  • Students with special needs (health reasons, working students, etc.) should contact the Lecturer, by e-mail, before the registration opens.
  • To register for a specific shift before the registration opens, the students must provide evidence that justifies early registration.
