Dear Students

This week, March 2-6, Group 1, 2 and 3 will work on the laboratory. We will have to do in this T1-Cell culture and T2-Cell rupture during this week (check fenix for the protocols).

Therefore we have to start straight working in the laboratory, Monday, March 2 at 10.00 AM (Please bring your lab coats Monday and read T1 before).

The workplan for the week will be (apologies for the change over the arrangements discussed in the class room):

-Monday, March 2^nd,10.00-13.00. Preparation of Media and Bioreactors (T1)

-Tuesday, March, 3^rd, 11.00-12.30 Rules on lab book writing and discussion on good lab practice and hints on report preparation.

-Wednesday, March 4^th, 10.30-13.30. Cell culture (T1)

-Thursday, March 5^th, 10.00-11.30m Cell Rupture (T2)

PS. We did optimize the cell cultures, and this year, we use the following concentrations:

-Pre-inoculum: Yeast extract (YE ) 40 g/L; phenyl acetic acid (AFA)  1,0 g/L; pH 7,5

 -Culture media (YE) 10 g/L;  AFA 3,0 g/L;  pH 7,2
