Final Presentations Tomorrow

20 maio 2026, 20:04 Miguel Amaral

Dear Students, hello

Our final session is approaching. Thursday  (tomorrow) you will present your project

Do not forget to upload your Final Report +  “Promotional” video until the end of today (23:59h) in the usual folder that you use weekly for the Team Projects. In case your video is very “heavy” just include a link to it in the beginning of your report (on the cover for example).

- Delivery: Detailed Final Report in the form of a PowerPoint presentation file up to 20 slides. Important concepts and ideas can be included in the slides as footnotes and/or annex slides. It is important to show the capacity to address all the BMC dimensions; Quality of the value proposition and the solution; Robust assumptions and estimations; Different scenario analyses; Technical and financial feasibility of the project.

- Delivery: The “promotional” video. The video should have the duration of up to 5 minutes and should summarize / advertise the team’s final value proposition and solution/proposal. As we discussed in class, the format and approach are free, teams may want to do acting/role-playing, use personas, use still or moving images, narrator voices, etc, as long as it communicates the initial problem, the solution and the central ideas of the Project.

- Students will do the final presentation at Room VA5 at 15:30h.  Apart from the course instructors, the  evaluation panel will be composed by Dr. Pedro Rebordão - Manager for Promotion and Innovation at LISPOLIS and Prof. Carla Costa – IST

In order to organize the event and to keep the audience engaged, teams should use strictly 10 minutes for the pitch. Please adapt your presentation accordingly and rehearse it a couple of times. In general, if you consider 1 minute per slide it will give you a good control  of the pace of the presentation, but if you want to include more slides that is ok, as long as you do not exceed the 10 minutes. You can prepare some backup slides in case the jury asks for something more technical.

See you tomorrow,

Miguel / Diogo
