Final Grades

19 fevereiro 2023, 15:29 Miguel Amaral

Dear Students,

Your final grades are available here.

The different components of the evaluation were assessed by taking into account the several topics/criteria that we discussed in class (and which are also mentioned in the Syllabus).

I have to say Congratulations! In general your projects and final grades where very good, you have participated  actively in classes and worked in a very practical, autonomous and productive way. Thank you very much for your attendance, interest  and excellent collaboration.

If you have some questions regarding the grades (or if you detect some glitch/imprecision) just send me an e-mail as soon as possible - until the end of this Monday - please. Tuesday morning I will officially publish the grades.

All the best,
Miguel Amaral

Final Assignment Deliveries

9 dezembro 2022, 17:04 Miguel Amaral

Dear students,

An updated version of the Syllabus is now available here.

Until the end of 23 December, you e-mail-me the Team Presentation #9 (video) + Final Project Delivery PPT + Final Video/teaser.

You can keep (and adapt if needed) the usual structure in Presentation #9. In order to validate your assumptions/propositions about the best strategy to communicate your product you can still use interviews or secondary data; the difference is that interviews are not mandatory for that session.

Regards,
Miguel

Dear students, you are invited to this seminar that I am organising. Please take a look at the flyer here!

Pedro Oliveira is Professor MSO at Copenhagen Business School; Gulbenkian Chair Professor for the Impact Economy and Adjunct Full Professor at Nova School of Business and Economics (NovaSBE). He is the Founder and President of Patient Innovation (www.patient-innovation.com); Academic Fellow at the Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures at Cornell University; co-founder of PPL Crowdfunding; member of the Environment and Sustainability Board of Energias de Portugal – EDP and Principal Investigator of several research grants.

Eric von Hippel is an American economist and a Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management, specializing in the nature and economics of distributed and open innovation. He is best known for his work in developing the concept of user innovation – that end-users, rather than manufacturers, are responsible for a large amount of innovation. In order to describe this phenomenon, in 1986 he introduced the term lead user. Hippel's work has applications in business strategy and free/open source software (FOSS), and he is one of the most highly cited social scientists writing on FOSS.

Postponing the Individual Case-Study Delivery

27 outubro 2022, 16:55 Miguel Amaral

Dear Students, hello

Some of you contacted me and asked if I could postpone the deadline for delivering the Individual Case-Study.

I am totally flexible with that, as long as everybody agrees (in the event of any disagreement I will just keep the current date). So, if any of you disagree with the postponing just send me an email until tomorrow at 14:00h or just let me know about that during our lecture.

If all of you agree, the new deadline for submitting the Individual Case-Study will be 25th November 2022. You will have almost one extra month, therefore I will expect very high-quality case-studies :)

Regards
Miguel
