DSM2026 Exam - Consultation Materials Allowed

15 abril 2026, 09:39 Jorge Ambrosio

Dear Students,
Tomorrow you will have the exam of this unit (@8:00). We hope that you feel prepared for the exam and that, after the homeworks and projects, the study is basically done and you feel comfortable with your preparation. Several of you asked what are the rules for the exam (consultation materials in particular). The exam has two parts: an onsite part, with 90 min, and a take home part with 24 h for delivery. There is no minimal grade in the exam to pass the unit. About consultation material during the onsite part:

You can use a PRINTED COPY of the slides of the lectures and notes, existing in Fenix, as support material during the onsite part of the exam. No other printed material is allowed.

You CANNOT USE any device that connects to the internet or any form of digital support for consultation during the exam, which includes computers, mobile phones, smart watches, etc.

For the take home part of the exam you can use any materials that you can put your hands on. However, you cannot consult anyone, much less any colleague of yours, to develop this part of the exam. This take home part of the exam is strictly individual and private. By delivering it you assume by your honor that you did not break any of the honor rules either expressed here or part of any moral code.

We wish you the best for this exam and that you can have a sense of achievement by finishing this unit successfully,

By the Lecturers Team
Jorge Ambrósio
