Reading Reflections (20%)

This is a research-based course. Being able to effectively read and summarise research papers is a crucial skill. On 8 weeks of the semester, there will be two presentations of research papers or book chapters in the lecture. You will be asked to individually submit two ~300-word (2000 characters) reading reflections by the end of the day (11:59 pm). Reading resources will be available on this web page.

Presentations of research papers will be made by each group. Students that do a presentation do not need to submit a reflection that week. Each presentation should last 20 minutes + 10 minutes for discussion and questions & answers. It is the responsibility of the presenters to drive the discussion and propose interesting discussion points.

Grades will be published online.

Grading

Grading will be based on the quality of your submission or presentation.  You will be graded from 0 (did not submit) to 5 (awesome reflection).
