Boardgame Analysis

20 outubro 2015, 10:47 Carlos António Roque Martinho

Each team must present a document (4 pages, one page maximum per answer) with a discussion of the following questions:

  1. Relate the game theme and fiction to the game experience, discussing the progression of the experience.
  2. Discuss the common gameplay strategies referring the possibility of leading to a victory in the game (and possibly, some counter-strategies).
  3. Describe how the game components (hardware) relate to the game rules and fiction.
  4. Describe how the game accommodates to the different player types and play styles.

Each team must assign the responsibility for each question to a particular member. 55% of the grade is relative to the question you are responsible for. The remaining 45% of the evaluation is based on the answers of the other team members (e.g. 15% by member in a team of four).

The analysis should be submitted online until November 3rd. Before submitting you are required to register your team as a [ Boardgame Analysis ] group. Please include in the filename the name of the boardgame you are analysing as well as the lab you attend (e.g. "3a_9h30_SmallWorld.pdf").
