IMPORTANT INFO: Knowledge-test for CTC Lab evaluation

Please read below important information carefully.
Please note that only students registered for this year's laboratory are allowed to attend this test.
Knowledge-test schedule: 2 June 2020 at 16:45,
Total duration: 50 mins (two fixed times for two parts),
Rules and Procedures: 
The test will consist of two parts:
i) The 1st part is the MCQ quiz. Any wrong answer will have 30% (negative) marking. Students have to submit this part within the allowed time. FOR THE 1ST PART STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CONSULT ANYTHING EXCEPT USING A PENCIL AND BLANK WHITE PAPER. 
ii) Once the 1st part time ends, 2nd part questions will be sent to all to be done within the allocated time for it. In this part, students must answer questions based on the sample data (to be provided in the test) and only answer/result values to be submitted. There will be no negative marking in this part. 
-FOR THE 2ND PART STUDENTS ARE ALSO NOT ALLOWED TO CONSULT ANYTHING EXCEPT USING A PENCIL, BLANK WHITE PAPER AND A POCKET CALCULATOR.  For this part, instead of papers and pen/pencil students can also use any digital page and pencil/stylus (like digital gadgets and apps) to exclusively do the calculations for an answer and to easily upload the file in the google form. Such gadget cannot be used for any other purpose or for consulting anything.

-If any properties data are required it will be provided. However, simple equations (like newton's convection cooling equation or heat removed equation for any flow rate as in condenser) will not be provided. 
-ERROR MARGIN OF ANSWER WITH NUMERICAL VALUE (for 2nd part only): +/- 2% (For example, if the exact answer of any question has a value of 5000, any value between 4900-5100 will be accepted). 
-Before starting the test (16:45) all students must first join the below Zoom meeting from where the google classroom test link will be sent to students. TEST LINK WILL NOT BE PROVIDED IN ANY OTHER WAYS. 
-Students may be requested to turn on their cam for any time.However, this request can be denied as well.

Mock/Dummy Test and last year's exams questions and solutions

  • The Mock/Dummy test (no grading ) of CTC/AHT course (mainly for the theoretical part) will be on 27th May 2020 from 11:00-12:00 (during the theoretical lecture hour). It will have 10 MCQs and 2 questions to be answered/solved in paper and then be uploaded there after scanning them.
  • Also questions and solutions of last year's exams are available in Fenix (see Section-Exams Questions and solutions). 
  • Please note that the format and mark allocations to questions in theoretical and problem parts of this year's exams will be little bit different and you will be notified on that soon.

Lab demonstration session

The CTC laboratory presentation and video demonstration session will be held remotely (see below zoom meeting info) on Tuesday (19th May) at 17:00. This session is anticipated to take around 45 minutes. 

NOTE that this is only for those who enrolled and grouped for doing the laboratory in this year. Please read the Lab guides (available in Fenix) carefully before joining this session. Sample data will be provided after the demonstration session. In this session, you will also be informed more about the knowledge-test to be taken for the lab evaluation. So don't miss it.
