The project assignment has been published under tab "Project". You will need to develop three implementations of the same problem, with three different deadlines:

Serial: March 10th
Shared-memory, OpenMP: March 24th
Distributed-memory, MPI: April 14th

Please start working on the serial version as soon as possible, the earlier you finish the earlier you can start experimenting with OpenMP. It is a simple implementation in C or C++, no knowledge of parallel programming required. This version will be the starting point for OpenMP and serve as baseline for comparison against both parallel implementations.
