Some clarifications for the exams

If you still have any question please let me know so that I can add it here.

  • no need to register for the exam;
  • follows the same format as in previous years with four groups:
    • shared-memory/OpenMP
    • distributed-memory/MPI
    • metrics
    • rest (algorithms, load balancing, termination, accelerators, etc)
  • each of these groups will be instantiated sequentially as a separate quiz, with 20min for each and a 5min interval between them;
  • all answers are given online, on the Moodle's forms, and you can use either English or Portuguese;
  • it's an open-book exam, you can consult written notes, slides, etc (word of caution: you'll have about 5min per question, you will have time to check some point you need to clarify as long as you know where to look, but do not count on having time to research a topic you're not comfortable with). It goes without saying, as an individual exam, you cannot talk to other people in any way;
  • you will have to sign the code of honor (which consists in writing your name in the separate "quiz" named code of honor) through which you're giving your word of honor not to commit fraud. Your exam will not be graded if you don't do it;
  • during the entire 20min period of each group you will need to have a camera filming your face;
  • you will be automatically distributed through different breakout rooms, no action on your part is needed.
In case of any suspicion of incorrect behavior, professors reserve the right to call a student for an oral exam to confirm the grade.
