The evaluation process includes a set of three assignments and a final project, to be completed during the semester, complemented by in-class quizzes.
Each work is graded for 20 marks, rounded to the nearest decimal.
The final grade is computed according to the following table:
item | weight | focus |
---|---|---|
continuous evaluation | 15% | quizzes |
assignment #1 | 10% | optimality conditions, (un)constrained minimization |
assignment #2 | 15% | sensitivity analysis, heuristic methods |
assignment #3 | 25% | discipline modeling, analysis and optimization, terminology |
final project | 35% | aircraft multidisciplinary optimization |
The Assignment # 3 and the Final project are made in teams of two students. All other evaluation items are individual.
