Exam trial run

Next Friday June 12th there will a trial run for the CMU exam from 11:00 to 11:15.
The trial run is optional: the goal is to check that everything is working smoothly and that you have an idea of how it will go on the first exam date, June 16th (next Tuesday).
Students should join a Zoom meeting whose URL is in the Sample Exam section for security reasons.
The exam itself will be available at moodle.dei.tecnico.ulisboa.pt in the CMU section of the website. Please check beforehand that you are able to login into that Moodle instalation and that you have access to the CMU section.
The trial exam has 5 questions and lasts 10 minutes once you start it. You may only see one question at a time and may not return to it once it's answered.

Project Demo & Discussion

As many of you may know, I have been having problems running the class projects on my computer which has delayed the process.

To avoid further delays I'm scrapping the idea of running all of the projects on my system and we'll go ahead with an interactive demo, much like what we did for the project checkpoint. We will also do the project discussion at the same time so, in addition to seeing your project run via screen sharing on Zoom, I'll also ask questions from each of the group members to adjust individual grades as needed.

Please schedule your slot on Doodle. I'll send out the Zoom link separately by e-mail.

Project Submission

Folks,

Today is the project submission deadline. Please submit the project online, here on the project Fénix website, by the end of the day.

Don't forget to include all of the code needed to get your system up an running, including the smartphone app source code and the server. Also, don't forget to include the project report. Please put everything in a zip file for submission.

You can submit multiple times up to the deadline. If you are going to keep working on the project up to the last minute, I suggest periodically submitting a new version, just in case. Do be careful with last minute merge conflicts and other avoidable mistakes.

Added Beacons to Food Service Table

Folks,

I added a new column to the Food Service Table in the in the Project section with the names for the beacons located at each of the Food Services. I believe it will be much easier if we all standardize on the same set of beacon names, so please update your code to use these.
