CEE - Novo método de avaliação - New assessement method

Prezado aluno de CEE
O método de avaliação de CEE passa a ser feito apenas por exame presencial, que pode ser feito em duas datas. Todos os alunos podem frequentar as duas datas, contando a melhor nota.
Estão cancelados o laboratório, o teste e as provas de confirmação de notas acima de 17.
A data de um dos exames é a que já está definida desde o início do semestre. A data do outro exame será publicada após a resposta dos delegados dos alunos à consulta que lhes foi feita.

Dear EEC student
The method of assessment in EEC consists of exam only, which can be done on two dates. All students can attend both dates, counting the best grade.
The laboratory, the test and the confirmation tests for grades above 17 are canceled.
The date of one of the exams is the one defined since the beginning of the semester. The date of the other exame waitrs the response of student delegates.

Problem classes and office hours

Dear students of Linear and Nonlinear State-Space Control Theory,

These are hard times and we must do our best.

As determined by the President of IST, the problem classes of the course will occur remotely in the coming weeks. In particular, classes will be supported by Colibri, based on the Zoom video conference system. More information about online lectures can be found here (link https://tecnico.ulisboa.pt/en/online-lectures/) In addition to bidirectional video and audio channels for all participants, Colibri/Zoom includes a chat system for exchanging message and the possibility of desktop sharing, thus allowing the simultaneous transmission of slides or PDF files. Please take notice of the very important information:
“To attend a lecture/session, you MUST NOT login to the Colibri System. Login is only required by the session Professor/Organiser. Each login consumes licenses that may be crucial for other purposes.”

More information about how to join the problem classes of next week will be sent to you directly by e-mail. Please keep your institutional e-mail updated. As usual, there will be two shifts.

Next week, I’ll be addressing problems 6 and 7. You are advised to study and solve these problems in advance.

To schedule office hours (horário de dúvidas), please do as before. I will email back with instructions.

Avaliação de CEE na sequência do COVID - Student evaluation in CEE due to COVID

Na sequência das instruções da Presidente do Conselho Pedagógico do IST, a leccionação e avaliação de CEE passa a processar-se nos seguintes moldes:

As aulas teóricas presenciais serão substituídas por aulas via teleconferência (ver anúncio). Na próxima 6a feira 13 de Março às 11h será dada uma aula experimental de introdução à parte 2 da matéria. As aulas teóricas por videoconferência prosseguiram depois a partir de dia 20 de Março, até que a situação se normalize, à hora prevista para as aulas. No dia 17 não haverá aula.
Entretanto, todos os alunos devem desde já estudar por si mesmos a matéria da parte 2, nos acetatos, recorrendo ao livro "Controlo no Espaço de Estados" ou a outros meios.

Os alunos podem tirar dúvidas sobre a matéria teórica com o responsável (João Miuranda Lemos) por email, telefone (213100269) ou skipe, em sessão a combinar.

As aulas de laboratório estão suspensas.
O método de avaliação aprovado no início do semestre mantém-se em vigor. Se não fôr possível fazer os testes nas datas previstas, os alunos serão avisados e haverá uma data extra de exame, a estabelecer de acordo com a Coordenação do curso e com os delegados dos alunos. É no entanto claro que, para já, as datas de teste se mantêm em vigor.
Se não fôr possível realizar o laboratório, a sua contribuição para a nota final será ajustada ou anulada, de acordo com a situação. Serão no entanto feitos todos os esforços para que os alunos não se vejam amputados deste componente da sua formação, devendo todos os alunos continuar a preparação para a realização do trabalho de laboratório.

Following the instructions of the President of the Pedagogical Council of IST, the teaching and assessment of EEC starts to take place in the following ways:
The classroom lectures will be replaced by classes via teleconference (see announcement). Next Friday, March 13, an experimental class will be given to introduce part 2 of the material. Theoretical lectures by videoconference will continue after 20 March, until the situation is normal, at the time scheduled for the classes. On the 17th march there will be no class.
However, all students must now study the subject of part 2 for themselves on acetates, using the book indicated in the bibliography or other means.
Laboratory classes are suspended.
The evaluation method approved at the beginning of the semester remains in force. If it is not possible to take the tests on the scheduled dates, the students will be notified and there will be an extra exam date, to be established according to the Course Coordination and the student delegates. However, it is clear that, for now, the test dates remain in effect.
If it is not possible to carry out the laboratory, your contribution to the final grade will be adjusted or canceled, according to the situation. However, every effort will be made so that students do not see themselves amputated from this component of their training, and all students must continue their preparation for carrying out laboratory work.
