See you on Thursday.

Welcome and brief instructions

5 setembro 2019, 11:28 Cláudia Antunes

Welcome to the second edition of Data Science, 2019-2020

We will be meeting you September 16th and wish to fulfil your goals attending our course.

The course has two parts as usual:
- theoretical classes: students may attend classes interchangeably between Alameda and Tagus, since they will be the same. Classes at Alameda will most probably be taught in English and in Portuguese at Tagus.

- labs: groups of 3 students are required for both lab attendance and the course's project. Group enrolment in labs will open during the first week of classes (September 19th at 20:00). The previous single enrolments in the labs will be ignored. Each group has to enrol in Alameda labs if its students belong to MEIC-A and in Tagus labs if its students belong to MEIC-T, METI or MEGI. Other students may enrol in both campus. At this moment, we don't know how many students will be enrolled in the course, and we are unable to make those rules more flexible.

Remark about past grades

Students who attended this course in the last year, successfully completed the project, and want to reuse its grade, can request an oral examination focused on the essential aspects of the project to determine if the grade can be reused.
