* RECOVERY EXAMINATION OF 11/04/2024, AT 8:00 H, ROOM Q4.2 (SOUTH TOWER, 4TH FLOOR). REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 09/04 (TUESDAY), AT 12:00 H. RECOVERY EXAMINATION REGULATIONS.

1. Date, Time and Venue: The examination is scheduled for the 11th April (Thursday), at 08:00 hours, in lecture room Q4.2 (South Tower, 4th Floor). 

2. Registrations: Registration for the examination is now open on the SDP webpage in the corresponding section (https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/disciplinas/CDP3/2023-2024/2-semestre/registration). It is mandatory that all students register by the 9th April (Tuesday).

3. Examination Regulations:

A) The Recovery Exam (accounting for 70% of the final mark) will have a TOTAL duration of 2 hours. It comprises two MAP45 assignments: one covering the Physical Chemistry and Thermodynamics of Polymers section (lectured by Prof. J. P. Farinha), and the other covering the Polymerization, Modification, and Design of Polymers section (lectured by Prof. P. T. Gomes). Candidates are required to answer each section on separate examination scripts to facilitate more efficient marking. Each section is worth 10 points, out of a total of 20 points. Candidates are responsible for managing their time effectively between the two sections. The minimum pass mark for this examination is set at 8.0 out of 20.

B) The recovery examination offers a reassessment opportunity for students who did not engage in the continuous assessment pathway or who did not achieve a combined score of at least 8.0 out of 20 in the two MAP45 assignments. Students who have pursued the continuous assessment pathway but wish to improve their scores in any previous MAP45 assignment are also eligible to retake only one section of the examination..

C) During the examination, candidates are permitted to have only their examination paper, answer scripts, calculator, periodic table, and rough paper on their desks. All electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets, and laptops, must be turned OFF (not merely set to silent mode), in accordance with IST examination regulations.
