* RECOVERY EXAM OF 16/04/2025, AT 10:30 H, ROOM Q4.1 (SOUTH TOWER, 4TH FLOOR)

* REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 14/04 (MONDAY), AT 12:00 H. RECOVERY EXAM RULES

1. Date, Time and Venue: The exam is scheduled for the 16th April (Wednesday), at 10:30 hours, in lecture room Q4.1 (South Tower, 4th Floor).

2. Registrations: Registration for the exam is now open on the SDP webpage in the corresponding section (https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/disciplinas/CDP/2024-2025/2-semestre/registration-for-the-recovery-examination-of-11042024-or-parts). To take the exam, registration is mandatory before April 14th (Monday)

3. Exam Regulations:

A) The Recovery Exam (accounting for 70% of the final mark) will have a TOTAL duration of 90 minutes. It comprises two MAP45 assignments: one covering the Polymerization, Modification, and Design of Polymers section (lectured by Prof. P. T. Gomes) and the other covering the Physical Chemistry and Thermodynamics of Polymers section (lectured by Prof. J. P. Farinha). Candidates are required to answer each section separately. Each section is worth 10 points, out of a total of 20 points. The minimum pass mark for this exam is 8.0 out of 20.

B) The recovery exam offers a reassessment opportunity for students who did not engage in the continuous assessment pathway or who did not achieve a combined score of at least 8.0 out of 20 in the two MAP45 assignments. Students who have pursued the continuous assessment pathway but wish to improve their scores in any previous MAP45 assignment are also eligible to retake only one section of the exam (45 minutes).

C) During the exam, candidates are permitted to have only their exam paper, answer scripts, scientific calculator (non graphical or alphanumeric), periodic table, and blank paper on their desks. All electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets, and laptops, must be turned OFF (not merely set to silent mode), in accordance with IST exam regulations.

* Marks of the 1st MAP45

The marks obtained in the second MAP45 are listed in the "Assessment Results" section (https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/disciplinas/CDP/2024-2025/2-semestre/assessment-results).

* Revision of the 1st MAP45 tests: 14/03/2025 (Friday)

The tests can be revised on the 14 March 2025 (Friday), from 12:00-13:00 h (room 11-6.9e, South Tower, 11th floor, Pedro T. Gomes' office).

* First MAP45: 13/03/2022 (Thursday)

The assessment of the first part of the subject (Polymerization and Design of Polymers) will take place on the 13 March 2025, within the normal class schedule (14:30-15:15, room V1.06). Please, arrive to the room 15 minutes in advance (14:15 h).

Rules:

1- Besides the test sheet and the blank exam sheets, you are allowed to have on the table:

- blank scrap paper

- the Periodic Table, and

- a calculator

2- Mobile phones, tablets, smart watches should be turned OFF during the MAP45 (IST general rule).

3- If you give up, you have to stay silent in the room until the end of the MAP45 and deliver the exam sheet saying you have given up.

4- Students are not allowed to go to the toilets during the MAP45

Welcome to "Science and Design of Polymers (SDP)"!

* BEGINNING OF CLASSES: 17/02/2025 (Monday)

The subject Science and Design of Polymers (SDP) will begin on the 17/02/2025 (Monday), from 09:00 to 11:00 am, in lecture room Q4.1 (South Tower, 4th floor). Please, DO NOT MISS this lecture.

There will be 3 classes/lectures per week, from 12:00 to 13:00 pm on Tuesdays (lecture room QA1.2, South Tower), from 09:00 to 11:00 on Wednesdays (room Q1.4, South Tower) and from 14:00 to 16:00 on Thursdays (room V1.06, Civil Engineering building). Laboratory classes will start on the 2nd week of the period.
