Studio #1 - Group Formation

During the Studio you should try to form a group with balanced skills, in CCU groups usually have:
  • A project manager - someone with good organization and communication skills that can bring a group together and on schedule while resolving conflicts
  • A user research lead - someone good at creating empathy with others with a critical eye and good observation skills that likes to listen
  • A design lead - someone with good design skills that can produce high-quality presentations, communicate things visually, and design interactions following guidelines
  • A front-end developer - someone that is good at coding user interfaces in mobile or web platforms, that is capable of translating design ideas into working code
  • A back-end developer - someone that prefers to write backend code without any user interface, that understands web services, databases and transactions

During this Studio, we will also start introducing the project brief.

Answers the questions:

  • Q1: What are some suspended activities that you would like to see not coming back?
  • Q2: Describe why this activity seems to you to be noxious/superfluous/dangerous/incoherent and how its disappearance/putting on hold/substitution?
  • Q3: What kinds of measures do you advocate so that workers/employees/agents/entrepreneurs, who can no longer continue in the activities that you have eliminated, are able to facilitate the transition to other activities?
  • Q4: What are the activities, now suspended, that you hope might develop/begin again, or even be created from scratch?
  • Q5: Describe how this activity appears to be positive to you, and how it makes other activities easier/more harmonious/coherent that you prefer and can fight against those that you judge to be inappropriate. (Write a separate paragraph for each of the activities listed under 4).
  • Q6: What kinds of measures do you advocate to help workers/employees/agents/entrepreneurs to acquire capacities/means/finances/instruments allowing for restarting/development/creation of this activity?
These questions should give direction to your project ideas.
