Welcome to Week 7!

MONDAY’S CLASS (9th Jan)

Monday’s class with Valentina Nisi will be Studio Time, on a “first come, first served” basis. Due to a conflict, Prof. Valentina will only be there at around 11:30. If no students show up until 12:00, Prof. Valentina can be found in her office.

LABS FOR WEEK 7

Teams can use Tuesday labs and office hours (until Wednesday) for any late minute feedback on their work. Thursday and Friday labs (as well as Thursday theory class) will be used for Final Presentations.

FINAL PRESENTATIONS

Firstly, please consult this page for more information about what is expected from final presentations:

Furthermore:

• The order of presentations has been posted on Discord. The schedule was based on your self reported availability.

• Please be there before your time slot. If your group is not there at your time slot, we will skip to the next group. 

• Please be available on Discord, since we might message your group, your team manager or to announce any last minute changes.

• Presentations will be hybrid and recorded.

• If the team is there presentially, you must: (1) connect to the audiovisual system in the room and connect to Zoom; (2) share your screen (if you have audio in your presentation, when sharing you need to select to share audio as well); (3) make sure that your mic is on. 

• If the team is going to be online, please contact me (Paulo Bala) beforehand. When it's time for your slot, you must: (1) connect to Zoom; (2) share your screen (if you have audio in your presentation, when sharing you need to select to share audio as well); (3) make sure that your mic is on. 

• Transition time between teams is quite short, so make sure that you have your resources (e.g., adapters) lined up.

• You are free to join Zoom to watch other team’s presentations; please be muted if this is the case.

• Based on instructor availability, some instructors will be online, while others will be there presentially, based on instructor availability.

Presentations will use the rooms assigned for CCUL06, CCUL07, CCUL08, and CCUL10, which are all in the Pavilhão de Civil. Please consult the following, for both the physical and online rooms.

As you are probably aware, the date for the second assessment was changed to follow the agreed schedule with the Corpo de Delegados de MEIC. Consequently, we have reduced the complexity of deliverables. Please consult Discord or Fenix, for more info:

Second Assessment Date

Due to a complaint, we are not allowed to have a assignment deliverable on the 28th, outside of class period. Therefore, following the agreed schedule with the Corpo de Delegados de MEIC, we need to move the date to week 5, and inside the school calendar.
