Dear students,

Welcome to the Bioinformatics/Computational Biology course! Some initial info:

The Theoretical Classes will all be transmitted remotely by ZOOM (link to be defined).

The Practical Classes will be on-site (with rules) with online transmission.

Upon the registration, you will be assigned a shift (A or B) based on your student number, which will define the week (odd or even) you will preferentially be at the Campus. During the first weeks, you will be asked to form Groups of 4 for the Labs and corresponding evaluation of the practical part. Since we have a maximum room capacity in our rooms, there will be probably no chance of all the members of each group to assist simultaneously in every week - what I envisage is that only 1-2 members may assist face-to-face (the others watch remotely), and this scheme alternates in each week so that every student has the opportunity to attend, if desired. Ideally, each group should have A and B shifts to guarantee that at least one student can attend in any week. Do not worry about this now.

The classes will start Monday, 21st September when the detailed information regarding the course will be given. All the news and material will be posted on this webpage during the semester.

Despite the current COVID situation, we hope this semester runs as smoothly as possible.

Wish you all a successful year!
