A new version of the lecture notes on linear regression was posted. The previous version had two typos (in equations (4) and (19)) that were detected by Ivo Sousa. Thanks Ivo!

The solution of homework 1 has just been posted in the section "Homework".

A new set of lecture notes has been posted covering: linear regression, support vector machines, and boosting.

Lecture notes posted

I have just posted (in the section "Lecture Notes") two sets of lecture notes. One is a review of probability theory (written by D. Bertsekas and J. Tsitsiklis, from MIT); it doesn't cover all the topics reviewed in the lectures, but is a very good review and includes several interesting problems. The other one is a text (written by myself) on Bayesian decision theory, which includes many examples and all the topics that we will cover in the lectures about this topic.
