Welcome to the course on Applications of Data Science and Engineering 2024/2025!

In this course, students will work in groups two on a small project/problem related to data science, ideally proposed by a non-academic partner or academic partner from another scientific area (e.g. biology, medicine, social sciences, or another engineering area). 

The amount of work is approximately one day/week for a semester, but, of course, time can be allocated differently. We will collect and post several project/problem options, but you're also invited to independently find a host and supervisor that better fits your interests. Of course, we will be always available to help you with this quest.

Students can start working on the challenge proposed whenever they reach an agreement with the proponents, and after approval from the course coordinators. Grading is based on a small report and an oral presentation.
