Teaching Duties

In this course, you will be integrated into the teaching staff of a given course to have a complete teaching experience. As a member of the teaching staff for a course, your primary responsibilities will include the following core activities:

  • Class Preparation: Developing and organizing materials for laboratory or exercise classes.
  • Instruction: Actively teaching lab or exercise classes.
  • Student Support: Being available during scheduled office hours to provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students.
  • Assessment: Grading student submissions, including homework assignments, projects, tests, and exams.
  • Collaboration: Attending regular faculty meetings to discuss course progress, student performance, and administrative matters.

Estimated Workload Breakdown

The total planned workload for this role is 168 hours, equivalent to 6 ECTS. The following is a default scenario illustrating how these hours are typically distributed in one term:

  • Teaching (Two Shifts): 6 hours/week × 8 weeks = 48 hours
  • Office Hours: 3 hours/week × 9 weeks = 27 hours
  • Class Preparation: 5 hours/week × 8 weeks = 40 hours
  • Grading: 4 hours/week × 10 weeks = 40 hours
  • Meetings: 1 hour/week × 13 weeks = 13 hours
