{en_GB=Sum rules and unitarity in multi-Higgs doublet models} {} EVALUATED
{pt=Actualmente sabe-se que o Modelo Padrão está completo com a descoberta do bosão de Higgs. Mas ainda assim, não é suficiente para responder a questões fundamentais. Se o sector escalar não for mínimo, é possível esperar múltiplas gerações de dubletos escalares com hypercarga-1/2, análogas à estrutura de família dos fermiões. Examinamos a estrutura do sector do Higgs, consistindo em N dubletos escalares (com N ≥ 2), como generalização do chamado two Higgs doublet model. Introduzimos uma nova base, charged Higgs basis, na qual o valor de expectação do vácuo se encontra no primeiro dubleto, e os componentes carregados dos restantes N-1 dubletos estão na base de massa. Elucidamos as interacções dos bosões de gauge com os escalares físicos e com os bosões de Goldstone, mostrando que estas são determinadas por uma matriz N x 2N. Esta matrix depende de 2(N-1)^2 parâmetros físicos, que estão associados com a mistura de campos de Higgs neutros na charged Higgs basis. Demonstramos também a forma particularmente simples para as interacções cúbicas e para algumas das interacções quárticas de Goldstones com escalares físicos. Estes resultados são posteriormente usados na derivação de regras de soma e na unitariedade a nível árvore, restrigindo a contribuição dos parâmetros dos acoplamentos quárticos. Em particular, são apresentadas novas aplicações para modelos de três dubletos escalares com uma simetria order-4 CP e com uma simetria Z3 respectivamente., en=The Standard Model is now known to be complete with the discovery of the Higgs boson. However, it is still insufficient to answer fundamental questions. If the scalar sector is non-minimal, one might expect multiple generations of the hypercharge-1/2 scalar doublet analogous to the generational structure of the fermions. We examine the structure of a Higgs sector consisting of N Higgs doublets (where N ≥ 2) as a generalization of the two Higgs doublet model. We introduce the charged Higgs basis as a convenient framework for the model, in which the neutral Higgs vacuum expectation value resides entirely in the first Higgs doublet, and the charged components of remaining N-1 Higgs doublets are mass-eigenstate fields. We elucidate the interactions of the gauge bosons with the physical Higgs scalars and the Goldstone bosons and show that they are determined by an N x 2N matrix. This matrix depends on 2(N-1)^2 physical parameters that are associated with the mixing of the neutral Higgs fields in the charged Higgs basis. We also demonstrate a particularly simple form for the cubic interactions and some of the quartic interactions of the Goldstone bosons with the physical Higgs scalars. These results are applied in the derivation of Higgs coupling sum rules and tree-level unitarity bounds that restrict the size of the quartic scalar couplings. In particular, new applications to three Higgs doublet models with an order-4 CP symmetry and with a Z3 symmetry, respectively, are presented.}
