{pt_PT= Uma Abordagem à Eficiência de um Conjunto de Unidades Hoteleiras por Município em Portugal Continental} {} EVALUATED

{pt=Esta investigação tem como principal objetivo analisar a eficiência de todos os hotéis pertencentes a 86 municípios de Portugal Continental durante os anos de 2019, 2020 e 2021. Este tema surgiu uma vez que a economia portuguesa está cada vez mais dependente do setor do Turismo. Uma perspetiva geral e atual acerca do Turismo é dada, tanto a nível mundial como nacional. Este estudo foi realizado recorrendo à metodologia DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis), sendo que foram elaborados dois modelos para avaliar a eficiência das DMU’s, um com orientação input e outro com orientação output. As variáveis utilizadas em ambos estes modelos foram o número de estabelecimentos, o número de quartos, a capacidade total (medida em número de camas) e o pessoal ao serviço a nível dos inputs, para os outputs foram consideradas a variável número total de dormidas e a variável receita total. Depois de realizados os modelos foi feito um ranking com os municípios mais eficientes. As conclusões sugerem que dos 86 municípios analisados existem apenas 6 com eficiência máxima, sendo eles Lamego, Lisboa, Alter do Chão, Albufeira, Lagoa e Vila Real de Santo António. De notar que metade dos municípios eficientes pertencem à região do Algarve. This topic arose because the Portuguese economy dependency on the Tourism sector is increasing year by year. A general and current perspective on tourism is given, both at a global and national level. This study was carried out using the DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) methodology, and two models were developed to assess the efficiency of the DMUs, one with an input orientation and the other with an output orientation. The variables used in both models were the number of establishments, the number of rooms, the total capacity (measured in number of beds) and the staff employed as inputs, while the total number of overnight stays and the total revenue variable were used as outputs. After running the models and analyzing them, a ranking was made for the most efficient municipalities. The conclusions suggest that of the 86 municipalities analyzed there are only 6 with maximum efficiency: Lamego, Lisboa, Alter do Chão, Albufeira, Lagoa and Vila Real de Santo António. It should be noted that half of the efficient municipalities belong to the Algarve region. Keywords: Tourism, DEA, Efficiency, Hotels, Portuguese Municipalities, Hospitality}
