Com isso em mente, o projeto onde este trabalho está incluı́do desenvolveu uma aeronave que captura imagens remotamente, processado-as, a fim de avaliar o estado e os danos da estrutura em estudo. Tendo capturado várias imagens de uma grande área, é preciso juntá-las para obter um ortomosaico (panorama) composto pelas várias imagens, aumentando o campo de visão. O objetivo desta Tese é propor uma solução para o problema da criação do ortomosaico (colagem de imagens), no âmbito da análise estrutural para detecção de falhas em infraestruturas de engenharia civil., en=The study of large infrastructures always implies a high cost and/or poor safety conditions for humans. With this in mind, the project where this work is included developed an aircraft to capture images re- motely to be processed in order to evaluate the state and damage of the structure being studied. Having captured multiple images of a large area, one needs to stitch them together in order to obtain an image mosaic (panorama) with a large field of view. This way is easier for a civil engineer to detect damage or failures in the structure, thus reducing greatly the cost and danger in maintenance operations. The objective of this Thesis is to propose a solution for the problem of image mosaicing (stitching), in the scope of structural analysis for detection of failures in civil engineering infrastructures.}
