{pt_PT=Intervenção contemporânea no património arquitetónico religioso. A adaptação de edifícios religiosos a funções profanas} {} EVALUATED

Detalhes: {pt=A seguinte dissertação aborda a reabilitação de património religioso (edifícios conventuais), adaptados a funções culturais. Para tal ser possível foram escolhidos: o Convento dos Celestinos de Heverlee, reabilitado para acolher a Biblioteca de Arenberg (do arquiteto Rafael Moneo), e o Convento de São Francisco de Coimbra, reabilitado para acolher o Coimbra Cultura e Congressos (do arquiteto Carrilho da Graça). Os casos de estudo são analisados tendo em conta o seu contexto histórico e físico, as alterações que sofreram ao longo do tempo e o projeto de reabilitação. Estes dois conventos acolheram funções incompatíveis, muito diferentes da sua função original ao longo do tempo, e sofreram alterações profundas na sua configuração. Foram abandonados e sofreram graves processos de degradação. As funções de biblioteca num caso e centro cultural e de congressos no outro adaptaram-se bastante bem aos edifícios, respeitando-os tanto física como simbolicamente. É possível afirmar que estes encontraram, por fim, usos compatíveis. Há uma interação do passado com o presente sem que o passado perca a sua identidade e características fundamentais, não colocando em causa a sua autenticidade. As duas intervenções foram, cada uma à sua maneira, dinamizadoras da área envolvente e servem a comunidade em que se inserem. A reabilitação destes edifícios é uma mais-valia a nível económico, histórico e social, promove a memória coletiva e oferece uma pluralidade de espaços antigos bastante interessantes. , en=The following dissertation addresses the rehabilitation of religious heritage (convent buildings), adapted to cultural functions. For this to be possible were chosen two case studies: the Convent of the Celestines of Heverlee, rehabilitated to welcome the Arenberg Library (by the architect Rafael Moneo), and the Convent of San Francis of Coimbra, rehabilitated to host the Coimbra Cultura e Congressos (by the architect Carrilho da Graça). The case studies were analyzed taking into account their historical and physical context, the changes they have suffered over time and the rehabilitation project. These two convents received incompatible functions, very different from their original function over time, and underwent profound changes in their configuration. They were abandoned and suffered serious degradation processes. The function of library in one case and congress and cultural center in the other have adapted quite well to the buildings, respecting them both physically and symbolically. It is possible to be said that these have, finally, found compatible uses. There is an interaction of the past with the present without the past losing its identity and fundamental characteristics, without loosing its authenticity. The two interventions were, each in their own way, energizing the surrounding area and serving the community in which they operate. The rehabilitation of these buildings is an economic, historical and social added value. Promotes the collective memory and offers a plurality of very interesting old spaces.}
