{pt_PT=Morfologia do edificio CTEM. Edifícios universitários dedicados às áreas científicas/tecnológicas, construídas em Portugal no século XX} {} EVALUATED
{pt=As instituições de Ensino Superior assumem-se como elementos estruturantes nas dinâmicas da sociedade atual, desempenhando funções educativas através do desenvolvimento e disseminação do conhecimento, e funcionando também como espaços abertos à comunidade em que se situam. O presente trabalho tem como tema os edifícios universitários vocacionados para as áreas de conhecimento das Ciências, Tecnologias, Engenharias e Matemáticas (CTEM), construídos especificamente para o programa que acolhem durante o seculo XX em Portugal e pretende contribuir para a compreensão deste tipo de infraestrutura. Tem-se como objetivo identificar e analisar as estratégias arquitetónicas e identificar os conceitos conceptuais utilizados neste tipo de edifício. Através da análise morfológica de trinta e oito edifícios destinados ao ensino superior em Portugal, estudaram-se os atributos formais, geométricos e dimensionais do espaço. Estabeleceram-se critérios de análise que consideram tanto as dimensões físicas como a organização interna dos espaços (área, geometria, acessibilidade, organização espaço-funcional, espaços servidos e servidores, sistemas de circulação, controlo de luz natural e ventilação). São ainda estudadas as propriedades configuracionais do espaço, recorrendo à metodologia de space syntax. A análise comparativa dos vários casos de estudo permitiu identificar conceitos comuns e as estratégias projetuais que mais se destacam na composição arquitetónica do edifício CTEM do seculo XX., en=When considering our present society, Higher Education institutions have played a key role in the production and dissemination of knowledge. Additionally, these institutions have served as spaces open to the community they are placed in. The present paper looks at Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) buildings that were built specifically for the curricula they host in the 20th century in Portugal. This investigation sought to contribute to further our understanding of this type of infrastructure by identifying and analyzing the architectural strategies and conceptual frameworks used in its construction. First, this paper conducted a morphological analysis of thirty-eight (38) buildings, in which both the formal and geometrical as well as the dimensional attributes of space were considered. This first step led to the identification of specific analytical criteria which, with through space syntax methodology, allowed this investigation to study both the physical dimensions as well as the internal organization of spaces (area, geometry, accessibility, space-functional organization, served and servant spaces, circulation systems, natural light control and type of ventilation). Through a comparative analysis of the several study cases mentioned above, this research was able to identify common concepts and strategies standing out the most in the architectural composition of Portugal's 20th century STEM buildings.}
