Detalhes: {pt=A presente dissertação debruça-se sobre a Arquitetura Sustentável em Timor-Leste. Este país tropical possui um legado de centenas de anos de História marcada pela passagem de diversos povos, o que se refletiu na arquitetura local que ainda hoje é possível encontrar ao longo do território. Após o levantamento preliminar da arquitetura timorense foi desenvolvida uma análise sobre os seus aspetos de sustentabilidade com o intuito de formular um conjunto de medidas e recomendações a aplicar em construções futuras. Seguidamente foi elaborado o Projeto UMA que consiste numa habitação cuja estrutura modular assenta em materiais locais e estabelece uma relação sustentável com o meio ambiente. Concluiu-se que a construção tradicional, feita com materiais autóctones de reduzida inércia térmica é a que melhor se adequa à realidade timorense visto que pode diminuir a necessidade de consumo de energia elétrica e a consequente emissão de CO2 para a atmosfera, constituindo assim uma medida para a sustentabilidade., en=This thesis focuses on Sustainable Architecture in East Timor. This tropical country has a legacy of hundreds of years of history marked by the occupation of several people, which is reflected in the local architecture that subsists until today throughout the territory. After the preliminary survey of the timorese architecture was developed an analysis of its sustainability aspects in order to formulate a set of measures and recommendations to be used in future constructions. This was followed by the presentation of the UMA Project consisting of a house whose modular structure is based on local materials, establishing a sustainable relationship with the environment. We came to the conclusion that the traditional construction, made with indigenous materials of low thermal inertia is the best suited to the reality of East Timor as it can reduce the need for electric energy consumption and the consequent emission of CO2 into the atmosphere, thus providing a measure for sustainability.}
