Seminar - Subsea Production Systems-engineering solution for deep water oil and gas Exploration & Production - Challenges (financial and technical)

4 abril 2017, 14:04 Elisa do Nascimento Pires Costa

Next Friday, April 7th, at 11h00, the seminar “Subsea Production Systems-engineering solution for deep water oil and gas Exploration & Production - Challenges (financial and technical)“ will be held, presented by Daniel Vunza, Total E&P Angola

Venue: Room QA1.1, South Tower, IST - Alameda Campus

Daniel Vunza is Head of Subsea Field Operations Service of Block 17 for TOTAL E&P in Angola. He has over 20 years of broad based experience in offshore oil and gas operations (from shallow to deepwater subsea production operations) and in subsea projects including design and engineering background of subsea production systems particularly in subsea control systems. His experience includes also overseeing the manufacturing, assembly, testing and installation of subsea christmas trees, subsea control systems and subsea interventions. Mr. Vunza Joined TOTAL in 2009. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Vunza worked for Chevron for 13 years where, he assumed progressively various positions including field operations supervision and management, subsea systems engineer and subsea control system project engineer in projects such as Kuito and Tombua Landana. Mr. Vunza is an electromechanical engineering graduate from Jean Piaget University of Angola and earned his MBA degree from the American Intercontinental University of Houston Texas. He is a member of Sigma Beta Delta – International Honor Society for Business, Management & Administration, SPE and ASME.

Seminar - Drilling Fundamentals 101

Next Wednesday, April 5th, at 11h30, the seminar “Drilling Fundamentals 101“ will be held, presented by Bruno Melo, Geolog

Venue: Room Q4.7, South Tower, IST - Alameda Campus

Bruno received a BSc. in Chemical Engineering and a MSc. in Petroleum Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST). During the master thesis, he developed a model about “Prediction of formation fluid composition through gas while drilling analysis”, which is currently applied in HP/HT wells in Kuwait. In 2014 he joined Geolog as part of the Fast-Track Program. He worked as data engineer in the Netherlands, Romania, Venezuela and Brazil. In 2016 he integrated the formation evaluation team, where he worked in new challenges like unconventional reservoirs in Argentina, HP/HT wells in Kuwait and the new gas discoveries in Israel.
